Department of Finance in the Fowler College of Business seeks to
hire a tenure-track faculty member (Assistant Professor) who has a
research and teaching interest in Corporate Finance with an
emphasis on big data analytics to begin in Fall 2025. This position
is contingent upon state funding. Qualified applicants will hold a
doctorate (Ph.D.) in Finance or in a related field by August 2025.
The successful candidate will possess strong research interest and
capability as evidenced by an appropriate history of, or potential
for, professional growth activity. This will include regular
publication in high-quality, refereed journals and professional
conference participation as well as demonstration of an innovative
and active research agenda. Teaching experience at the
undergraduate and graduate levels is preferred. Candidates will
also be expected to demonstrate an ability to interact effectively
with members of the business community.The SDSU Fowler College of
Business is among the nation's oldest and largest AACSB accredited
business schools. Its accomplished faculty and highly ranked
academic programs provide an exceptional foundation for an
institution with significant regional, national and international
impact. The Fowler College of Business enrolls approximately 7,500
undergraduate and about 450 graduate students. The Finance
Department includes 18 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty
members, and it offers the Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration degree with majors in Finance, Financial Services,
and Real Estate. At the graduate level, the College has the MBA
degree with a specialization in Finance, MS degree in Finance, and

demonstrated experience in and/or commitment to teaching and
working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and
