Benefits Manager is an integral position in our People Success team
who carries the overall responsibility for the strategic management
of our global employee benefits programs, emphasizing exceptional
customer service, effective communication, and efficient day-to-day
administration.Specifically, the Benefits Manager will be
responsible for:Vendor and Customer Management (40%)
- Lead the strategic management of vendor and customer
relationships, optimizing the value of services provided and
fostering sustained partnerships.
- Work across multiple locations to deliver a programmatic
customer-facing benefits, communication, and education experience.
Subject matter expert responsible to resolve benefits-related
issues and discrepancies, and serves as the point of contact for
employees, managers, and vendors on benefits-related matters.
Maintains accurate records and files related to benefits
programs.
- Develop and deliver engaging employee communication and
education programs, ensuring regular updates and accurate
information dissemination.
- Provide excellent customer service to global team members and
create sustained relationships with multiple vendors.
- Provide timely and accurate resolution to team members'
concerns by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
- Develop and lead the benefits enrollment process, including
annual US Open Enrollment, and ongoing new hire enrollment.
Includes creation of employee communication, ongoing management of
the benefit intranet site, review all plan documents for accuracy
and complete all system testing and configuration for benefit
administration.Benefit Administration (40%)
- Develop, implement, and administer international and
multi-state benefits programs, including but not limited to 401(k),
UK & Netherlands Pension Schemes, and leave of absences.
- Lead the development of annual benefit budgets, aligning them
with organizational goals and strategies.
- Manage the benefits enrollment system, coordinates with payroll
for accurate deductions, and ensuring timely processing of
benefits-related changes.Leadership and Compliance (20%)
- Stay informed about benefit trends, regulations, issues, and
best practices, providing recommendations to senior leadership to
enhance benefits program effectiveness.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new and
revised US, UK, and EU programs and proactively evaluate
improvements to current programs.
- Prepare and file required reports and disclosures. Monitors and
maintains documentation for audits and inquiries related to
benefits programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance with
country, federal, state and local laws and regulations, including
but not limited to ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA.
- Analyze complex data, extrapolate insights, and create reports
on benefit utilization and adoption, facilitating strategic changes
and adjustments to plans and policies.
- Implement strategies and initiatives to effectively communicate
the advantages and value of these programs to employees, fostering
a sense of enthusiasm and engagement.
- Actively seeks feedback and input to tailor and improve
programs, continuously striving to enhance participation rates and
maximize the overall impact on employee satisfaction and
well-being.What you need to be successful:
- A qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree or
equivalent training and at least 8 years of direct benefits
experience.
- Knowledge of multi-state Health & Welfare benefits,
pension/savings plans (401K), leave of absence/ADA, disability
insurance, worker's compensation, and wellness programs is
required.
- CEBS strongly preferred or planned course completion once
employed.
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating benefit offerings and
providing recommendations for modifications or additions that can
enhance the retention and attraction of highly skilled
professionals.
- Knowledge of 401(k), ERISA and IRS regulations administration
and management.
- Comprehensive understanding of critical regulations and
requirements such as FMLA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, LOA, and more.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with
discretion and good judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to create and conduct compelling
presentations and effective training materials.
- Possess the flexibility to embrace shifting responsibilities
and tasks, maintaining a proactive and solution-oriented
mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets related to
employee demographics, utilization rates, and program
effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain productive partnerships, ensuring that
vendors deliver quality services, meet contractual obligations, and
provide excellent customer support to employees.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to
effectively plan, implement, and monitor benefit programs
throughout their lifecycle.The base salary for this role is in the
range of ($112,986 - $166,512). You may be eligible for an annual
discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, to be
discussed during the initial phone interview. Base salary and total
compensation package determined by the candidate's experience,
knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well
as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market
data.Most US based full-time and part-time roles come with flexible

dependents. Our 401(k)-retirement plan has a company match of 50%
up to 6% of eligible compensation. Realty Income also offers other
