DevOps Engineer - San Diego, CA or Atlanta, GAHybrid 3
days/week, Full time M-F 8am-5pm PST or ESTBeing authorized to work

$125,000-$170,000. Position eligible for additional incentives

grow its IT Engineering Department and has an exciting opportunity
for a DevOps Engineer. Reporting to the DevOps Manager, the DevOps
Engineer will help streamline our software development lifecycle
while maintaining and improving our infrastructure and deployment
processes. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and
maintaining the infrastructure and tools that support the
development, testing, and production environments for our fintech
products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to
ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems in
a highly regulated environment.Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable
cloud infrastructure using [AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud
platforms].
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management
processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or
CloudFormation.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ADO, Jenkins, GitHub
Actions, GitLab CI/CD, to ensure efficient delivery of
software.
- Monitor application performance and system health using tools
like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog, and respond to incidents
proactively.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize
the software development lifecycle and ensure seamless
integrations.
- Enhance system security by implementing robust access controls,
vulnerability assessments, and patching processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related
issues in production and staging environments.
- Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices across the
organization.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are
in place and effectively implemented.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to
understand business requirements and translate them into technical
solutions.
- Partner with the security team to ensure robust security
controls and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., PCI-DSS,
SOC 2, GDPR).
- Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and
performance of applications and infrastructure.
- Drive post-incident reviews to identify root causes and
implement corrective actions.
- Adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as
Terraform, CloudFormation, or GitHub Action.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new
technologies in DevOps and cloud computing.Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Required:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering
(SRE), or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or
management capacity.
- Experience working in the fintech or financial services
industry, with a solid understanding of the regulatory and
compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Proven track record of successfully managing cloud-based
infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and building CI/CD
pipelines.
- Expertise in AWS cloud platform and majority for relevant
services (EC2, Route53, IAM, ECS, RDS, S3, VPC, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker,
Kubernetes, etc.) and orchestration platforms.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g.,
Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management tools
(e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language
(e.g., Python, Go, Bash, Ruby).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus,
Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and
departments to ensure seamless and smooth integrations leading up
to deployments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle
high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.Physical

- Working in a temperature-controlled office environment.
- Sitting at a desk for long periods of time while viewing
multiple computer screen monitors.
