Job Description:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe RF Engineer I must have a minimum
of 3+ years of specialized Digital Modular Radio (DMR)
Communications Systems experience and demonstrate In-Service
sustainment engineering functions (e.g. design, development,
evaluation, testing, or maintenance) of electronic equipment and
systems; support the Life Cycle requirements; and provide technical
support for the DMR Communications Systems. Duties include
Pre-Installation Technical Check-Out (PITCO), Pre-Installation
Check-Out (PICO), System Operational Verification Test (SOVT),
System Operational Test (SOT), Engineering/Field Changes, Casualty
Report (CASREP) analysis (entries in Information Technology Service
Management ITSM), Technical Feedback Reports (TFBR), and
Engineering/Technical reviews. Provide CONUS/OCONUS on-site
technical assist visits and support to troubleshoot problems and
resolve equipment issues, perform equipment testing to verify
systems for full functionality, test, identify, and replace failed
components, and provide technical support for existing system lab
assets and sites. Provide onsite support for software installation,
and system turnover processes to include pre-installation
production and assembly and testing of systems, staging, and
shipping of installation materials, on-site installation and SOVT,
training, and operational cutover. Should be capable of developing
written instructions, procedures, schematics, and other technical
documentation; provide the status of their assigned tasks via both
prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy personnel, and
other technical data deliverables and documentation, as
applicable.REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCEPrior working
knowledge of DMR subsystems including: Integrated Waveform/Mobile
User Objective System (IW/MUOS); Line-Of-Site (LOS) Antennas; OE-82
or OE-570 SATCOM Antennas; High Frequency (HF); Very High Frequency
(VHF); Ultra High Frequency (UHF); Single Channel Ground and
Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS); HAVE QUICK; Air Traffic Control
(ATC); Demand Assigned Multiple Access (DAMA), and Non-DAMA;
Tactical Variant Switch (TVS); High Frequency Distribution
Amplifier Group (HFDAG); and AN/USQ-145, MD-1324. Required to have
Technical Training in a Relevant Technical/Engineering Field
specified at task order level, or Formal electronics training from
a Technical School, or Class A or C military school in electronics
or communications. This position requires willingness to travel, up
to 25%.This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US
DoD security clearance.PREFERRED SKILLSThe RF Engineer I is desired
to be capable of performing all duties unsupervised. The RF
Engineer I is desired to provide the status of their assigned tasks
via both prepared and ad hoc oral briefings to senior Navy
personnel. Must be able to develop written instructions,
procedures, schematics and other technical
documentation.REMARKSMust be able to communicate effectively in
English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface
effectively with all levels of technical and management
personnel.Compensation: $34 - $44 an hour. Compensation for
positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors
including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill
