Shimmick takes on challenging projects and performs high-quality work ranging from expanding/constructing water and wastewater treatment plants to construction of the new Gerald Desmond Bridge.Shimmick has a long history of completing complex water projects, ranging from the world's largest wastewater recycling and purification system in California to the record-setting Hoover Dam. • Solid foundation: client relationships, financial stability, and market leadershipResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Under minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methods.
  • Assumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Qualifications:
      • Experience in heavy civil construction projects
      • Experience managing a team of engineers
      • Producing and implementing work plansAdditional Information:
        • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
        • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.The salary range for this position is between $125,000 - $145,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical - including a NO-COST option, dental, and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program.
