and engage with us on and .The OpportunityWe are seeking a Manager,
Supply Chain Shipping and Logistics who is experienced, highly
energetic, and committed to helping develop and execute Avidity's
supply strategy across all clinical programs and supporting the
commercial strategies. The Manager Logistics is responsible for
overseeing critical logistics functions and projects, including
Shipping Validation, Compliance, TIB (Temporary Importation under
Bond), vendor management, shipping execution, warehouse management,
and cross-functional communication across Avidity's network. This
role demands a detailed-oriented professional skilled in the
logistics projects, cross-functional leadership, and a strong
financial acumen. A strong knowledge of cGMP logistics and
distribution, experience working with temperature-controlled (cold
chain logistics, manufacturing and distribution operations, and
knowledge of cGMP and FDA/EMA guidelines is required. This position
will work cross-functionally with CMC, legal, finance, regulatory
affairs, quality assurance, quality control, and IT.What You Will
Contribute
- Shipping Validation
- Act as the primary Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert (SME) for
shipping validation, including shipping qualification and
distribution challenge testing (simulated testing)
- Develop and optimize packaging solutions to enhance product
integrity during transit
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate validation data to ensure
accuracy and compliance
- Conduct detailed reviews and approvals of validation
protocols
- Prioritize validation activities to ensure alignment with
business-critical timelines and operational efficiency
- Develop and manage long-term shipping validation plans
- Provide strong leadership to cross-functional teams to drive
validation processes effectively, ensuring clear communication,
accountability, and alignment among team members
- Ensure cross-functional alignment with QA, Regulatory Affairs,
Quality Control (QC), PM, and external partners during validation
processes
- Manage external consultants and vendors supporting shipping
validation activities
- Compliance, Customs, and Government Agency alignment
- Manage and oversee the completion of TIB closures, ensuring
adherence to submission deadlines
- Collaborate with CMOs, external consultants, customs attorney,
and relevant internal teams to ensure accurate TIB documentation of
material consumption and timely submission of appropriate
documents
- Work closely with external consultants on the current
importation prototype revision
- Ensure thorough understanding and adherence to VAT and US
Customs and tariff requirements
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws
- Financial Management and alignment
- Oversee logistics budget development, ensure accurate shipping
forecast, and adhere to the insurance requirements
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to maintain financial
alignment
- Shipping Execution
- Oversee and execute shipments between CMOs and ensure that the
quantity and quality are consistent with the shipment plan
- Ensure that all the end-to-end transportation (pick-up to
delivery) is coordinated, documented, and tracked in accordance
with the company's shipping process (SOP)
- Resolve issues related to shipping, customs clearance, and
delivery
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status
of shipments and delivery schedules
- Collaborate with internal teams, including CMC, Supply Chain,
and Project Management, to ensure that shipments are aligned with
production and inventory schedules
- Responsible for creating and maintaining all shipping documents
and records
- Storage and Warehouse Management
- Create receiving documents for the third-party storage
warehouse(s) in a timely manner
- Coordinate the receiving and shipping process with third-party
storage warehouse(s)
- Manage and track monthly inventory and reconcile as necessary

- Lead and manage logistics-related projects
- Analyze cost data to identify opportunities for cost savings
and efficiency improvements
- Coordinate communication with vendors and the internal finance
team, handle any billing issues and disputes, and maintain good
working relationshipsWhat We Seek
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, pharmaceutical sciences,
engineering, or related field required; Advanced Degree
preferred
- 2 - 4 years of industry experience within Logistics in the
Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry
- Experience in managing shipping validation, including shipping
qualification and distribution challenge testing
- Familiarity with international VAT, US tariff, VAT regulations
impacting logistics operations
- Demonstrated experience in managing shipping forecast, budget,
and insurance
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with proven ability
to effectively lead and manage cross-functional teams
- Experience in temperature-controlled (cold chain)
logistics
- Experience working with third-party CMOs manufacturing, storage
warehouse, and freight forwarders/customs brokers
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, at a minimum.
- Knowledge of Smartsheet, Microsoft Visio
- Experience with ERP systems
- Highly proactive and organized with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the
ability to facilitate constructive and expedient
problem-solving.

- Ability to travel as neededWhat We Will Provide to You:
- The base salary range for this role is $128,000 - $142,000. The
final compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience,
skillset, internal equity, and market factors.
