Summary:Qualcomm is looking to hire an Engineer to join the GPU
Software Team. Responsibilities will include the design and
development of new features, debugging of issues within software,
optimizing software for performance and power, development of unit
tests and working with our partners, and OEMs. The software
development includes writing drivers for OpenGL ES/Vulkan/DX11/DX12
APIs and for GPU Machine learning acceleration. Responsible for
designing and developing software, tools, and tests for various
graphics, implementing quality improvements, and performing pre-
and post-silicon verification tests for products to ensure targets
are met.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer
Science, or related field.Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Strong C/C++ programming skills
- Familiarity with a GPGPU API such as CUDA or OpenCL.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms, including
object-oriented programmingPreferred Skills:
- Device driver development, including GPU or CPU
- Programming experience with Graphics APIs such as OpenGL
ES/Vulkan/DX11/DX12
- Knowledge of GPGPU application development including
Mathematical Operations and Image Processing.Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Applies Graphics knowledge to assist in the architect, design,
implementation, and verification of the structure and performance
of GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools.
- Writes code for well-defined features, drivers, and APIs using
different languages (e.g., C, C++, perl, python).
- Maintains comprehensive pre- and post-silicon tests using tools
and methods for a specific, well-defined component to verify
performance.
- Assists in identifying deficiencies in designs and works with
team members to develop solutions to improve designs.
- Collaborates with team members to understand new features and
functionality that align with needs and goals for implementation
and customization.
- Writes detailed design documentation and feature descriptions
for projects.Level of Responsibility:Works under supervision.
Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.
Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic,
routine factual information. Tasks consist of a limited number of
