Full Time Field Service Technician - San Francisco North BaySan Francisco Bay Area, CA, USA Req #4499Friday, March 14, 2025Full Time Field Service Technician - San Francisco North BayRobotics and Digital Solutions (RDS), a Division of The Hillman Group, has an opening for a Full Time Kiosk Technician in the San Francisco North Bay, CA area.You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Technician training on key duplicating, tag engraving and 3rd party break fix kiosks. The territory consists of 70-90 kiosks and is a 40 hour per week position. This position will start at $22-$24 per hour, a company car allowance, cell phone allowance and fuel card are provided. The territory would cover Santa Rosa, Vallejo, Petaluma, and San Rafael, CA (75-mile radius of the San Francisco North Bay area).

  • Primary contact with our customer locations.
  • Restocks kiosks, orders product, cleans, does preventative maintenance, and responds to service and repair dispatches as needed (Typically taking 1-2 Hrs. per machine x 1-2 times per month).
  • The schedule for routine service calls is flexible within the week, however Saturday service is sometimes required (we are a retail company).
  • Unscheduled service calls are expected to be responded to in four hours with an ETA, with on-site visit within 24 hours.
  • Ideal for retired candidates with some technical experience.Responsibilities:
    • Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine, or schedule).
    • Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order.
    • Install machines in the local area.
    • Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
    • Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in the Kiosk Tech's possession.
    • Conduct store meetings and interact with store management on a routine basis to ensure a good working relationship with our clients and promote the machine to improve revenue.
    • Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.Skills:
      • Basic troubleshooting skills.
      • Mechanical and electro-mechanical skills.
      • The ability to follow written and oral instructions very carefully.
      • Basic computer skills and basic spreadsheet and email skills are also required.
      • Must have a valid driver's license.Training specific to the kiosks will be provided to all new employees.Work Environment and Physical Demands:Sales/Service: Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required.
