Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our
dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five
years of experience managing complex systems, with a strong
background in AWS, network management, Linux and Windows
administration, Microsoft 365, Azure, backup solutions, SaaS
application management, and on-premises infrastructure.As part of
our team, your core responsibilities will be:
- Manage and maintain complex IT systems, ensuring high
availability and performance.
- Oversee network infrastructure, including configuration,
monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Administer Linux and Windows servers, ensuring security and
compliance with best practices.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS environments, including
user management, security, and resource optimization.
- Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity
and availability.
- Oversee SaaS applications, ensuring seamless integration and
operation within the IT ecosystem.
- Maintain on-premises infrastructure, including servers,
storage, and networking equipment.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and implement robust
cybersecurity measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support lab and
manufacturing device management.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement
solutions to optimize operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations,
procedures, and policies.Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; relevant, equivalent work
experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Minimum of five years of experience managing complex IT
systems, including networks.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions
Architect.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of backup solutions and data recovery
processes.
- Experience managing SaaS applications and on-premises
infrastructure.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and cybersecurity best
practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment, directly
interfacing with users.Ideally, you also have these
skills/experiences/attributes (but it's ok if you don't!):
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g.,
PowerShell).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles.
- Biotech lab device and manufacturing management.
