Job Description:
Job Description Job Summary:The Rigger will be responsible for
the safe rigging and movement of materials and equipment during
lifting operations. This role requires expertise in rigging
techniques, knowledge of rigging equipment, and a strong commitment
to safety standards. The Rigger will work closely with crane
operators, project managers, and other team members to ensure
efficient and secure handling of loads.Required Education,
Experience, & Skills Key Responsibilities:1. Rigging Operations:Set
up and inspect rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains,
and cables.Assist in lifting and moving heavy materials and
equipment using cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices.Ensure
the proper and safe attachment of loads to lifting
equipment.Communicate with crane operators to direct and guide load
movements safely.Dismantle and store rigging equipment after
operations are completed.2. Safety and Compliance:Follow safety
guidelines and procedures for all rigging activities, including
OSHA regulations.Conduct regular inspections of rigging gear to
ensure safety and functionality.Identify potential hazards and take
corrective actions to mitigate risks.Participate in safety
briefings and training sessions related to rigging operations.3.
Collaboration:Work closely with crane operators and other team
members to coordinate and execute lifting operations.Communicate
clearly during lifting operations to ensure safety and
efficiency.Assist other personnel as needed with manual labor tasks
when rigging duties are not required.4. Documentation:Maintain
accurate records of rigging equipment used in operations.Report any
equipment malfunctions, damage, or required repairs to
supervisors.Qualifications:Experience: 3-5 years of experience in
rigging in the Shipyard environment.Certifications: OSHA
certification in rigging required;Qualified Signal Person
Certificate or similar is a plus.Skills: Strong understanding of
rigging equipment and safe lifting techniques. Ability to read load
charts and rigging plans.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift
heavy loads, work at heights, and operate in physically demanding
environments.Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Technical training in rigging or lifting operations is a plus.Key
Competencies:Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Strong
attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.Ability to
troubleshoot and solve problems quickly during lifting
operations.Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to
rigging.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $57720 -
$88483Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
