J. Craig Venter Institute is conducting a broad faculty search for an outstanding candidate for Faculty positions in both our Rockville, Maryland and La Jolla, California locations. As part of JCVI's core mission since our founding, we continue to enhance understanding of emerging science through our multipronged education outreach program and through public policy work locally and nationally.Learn More About Us: Compensation:Associate Professor Salary Range: $140,000.00 To $189,000.00 AnnuallyProfessor Salary Range: $185,000 - $212,000 AnnuallyApply Here: Position Summary:Faculty are expected to be research and project leaders for independently funded projects (as PIs or co-PIs) and to serve as leaders and major contributors for larger team projects involving multiple Professors. They are recognized nationally and internationally as important contributors to their research field.Minimum Qualifications:M.D. or Ph.D. in relevant scientific discipline such as Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Immunology, Microbiology, Neuroscience or Computer Science required. Minimum of seven years' experience since obtaining a doctorate performing duties similar to the above. Individuals who do not hold a Ph.D. or M.D. but with comparable experience in a relevant field and have demonstrated exceptional scientific accomplishments and technology development may also be eligible. Supervisory experience required.
