In this role, you will leverage your in-depth expertise with domains, DNS, and domain-based emails as well as customer service skills to onboard new clients and support existing accounts. The ideal candidate will be a subject-matter expert and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver outstanding results.Basic Details

  • Monday to Friday schedule, begin work at 7-9amJob DescriptionThe Domain Specialist at ViziSites handles all things domain, DNS, and domain-based email for new and existing clients. This includes initial Domain Validation Calls with onboarding clients to facilitate purchase or transfer of domains as well as consult on domain needs; DNS configuration for launch of new websites; setup of new domain email accounts as well as transfer of data from pre-existing accounts; ongoing domain registration/renewal management; as well as troubleshooting & resolution of domain, DNS, and email-related issues. In all of these areas, strong record-keeping, communication, and collaboration with both clients and team members is a critical part of the role. The ideal Domain Specialist has not only technical expertise, but also possesses strong Customer Service skills to navigate technical & sensitive conversations with clients and teammates. This is a technical role that requires strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Experience Required
    • In-Depth Domain Knowledge: Expertise in domain purchasing, transfers, privacy, locks, etc.
    • Expert Knowledge of DNS: In-depth understanding of DNS fundamentals, including DNS record types (A, CNAME, MX, TXT), authoritative DNS servers, caching mechanisms, and query resolution processes.
    • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex domain-specific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in managing DNS configurations, ensuring accuracy and minimizing errors that could lead to service disruptions. A high level of precision in analyzing data, documenting processes, and executing tasks.
    • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across teams and interact with a wide range of roles, including clients, internal teams, and external partners.
    • Adaptability: Ability to keep up with industry changes, adapt to new tools and technologies, and apply new learnings to your work.Even better if you also have:
      • Certifications: Relevant certifications in the domain (e.g., Cloud and DNS Management Certifications, Cloudflare Certification (DNS & CDN), or industry-specific certifications).
