Software architecture team is driving the system infrastructure SW
architecture and development to enable better utilization of CPU
resources and system resources across the SoC. System
infrastructure software architecture is needed for granular
resource management including fine control and monitoring.This
position/s will expose you to Qualcomm's cutting edge CPU features,
SOC features, architecture and SW development for resource
management.Candidate would participate in software architecture,
development of resource management/control SW. Involves
implementing the ARM architecture specifications including MPAM for
resource control.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer
Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or
related work experience.ORMaster's degree in Engineering,
Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year
of Software Engineering or related work experience.ORPhD in
Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related
field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming
Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer
Science or related field.
- Understanding of ARM CPU architecture fundamentals and ARM
ISA.
- Development of CPU low level SW in firmware, OS layers.
- Excellent understanding of Cache hierarchy, Cache control and
System infrastructure IP like System cache and NoC.
- Development of performance and power control using resource
management algorithms and optimizations for ARM architecture.
- Understanding of the overall SW stack including APPs, OS,
Firmware and SCP.
- Skills to collaborate with multiple teams including HW design
to define the software architecture.
- Good Programming skills and understanding of the ARM ISA.
- FW development for SCP (System control processor).
- Understanding of the algorithms suitable for resource
management for various workloads/use cases.
- Strong Analytical and debugging skills.Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Applies Software knowledge and experience to design, develop,
create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software,
applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
- Analyzes user needs and software requirements to design and
customize software for optimal operational efficiency.
- Designs and implements software modules for products and
systems.
- Participates in the design, coding for large features, unit
testing, significant debugging fixes, and integration efforts to
ensure projects are completed to specifications and schedules.
- Performs code reviews and regression tests as well as triages
and fixes issues to ensure the quality of code.
- Collaborates with others inside project team to accomplish
project objectives.
- Writes technical documentation for Software projects.Level of
Responsibility:
- Works under supervision.
- Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work
group.
- Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey
information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact,
etc.

& Benefits: $111,300.00 - $166,900.00The above pay scale reflects
the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the
location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly,
please note that salary is only one component of total compensation
