key role will join our collaborative and dedicated Neuroscience
team. The successful candidate will utilize their scientific
expertise to create and develop novel therapeutic strategies for
neuromuscular disease.Don't miss out on this fantastic
opportunity!About the RoleKey Responsibilities:
- Contribute to creating and developing novel therapeutic
strategies for neuromuscular disease, with an emphasis on
genetically driven muscle diseases and peripheral
neuropathies.
- Communicate project strategy, scientific vision, and data to
key stakeholders.
- Lead and/or engage in the design, execution, and analysis of
experiments to deliver high quality data and enable project
decisions.
- Deliver impact to projects by following both technical and
conceptual trends in the neuromuscular field.
- Develop and integrate models of neuromuscular disease using in
vivo systems in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in
BR.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consisting of experts
in molecular biology, drug discovery, biologics and chemistry.
- Expertly relay information to all levels of the organization,
as well as with our external partners and collaborators.
- PhD in Neuroscience, neuromuscular biology, biology or a
closely related field.
- 4+ years of specific expertise on neuromuscular disease and/or
peripheral neuropathies.
- Must possess a deep understanding of the pathophysiology of
neuromuscular disease.
- Demonstrated expertise in establishing in vivo models of
neuromuscular disease to study disease mechanisms.
- Exceptional proficiency in various laboratory methodologies
within neuroscience and neuromuscular disease including gene
expression, functional testing and imaging.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, diligent attention to detail,
and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a
complex matrix teams. Thinking creatively to tackle scientific and
operational challenges in a fast-paced drug discovery
environment.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proven track record in leading collaborative projects.
- Strict adherence to compliance with institutional policies,
laboratory safety and animal welfare guidelines, and regulatory
requirements.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in animal models of neuromuscular disease.
- Experience in various routes of administration in rodents.Why
