optimization and analysis of performance and/or power
characterizations to help define our SoC architecture solutions.
Deploy simulators, profilers, and hardware solutions to provide
quantitative justification for architectural directions.
Efficiently communicate experimental results, review with technical
leads and peers, and analyze outstanding issues. Innovate and
develop new cross-IP SoC-wide solutions that enable existing and
emerging market SoCs to meet their separate, unique product
requirements for these technology areas: Power System, Shared
Resource Management, Limits/Thermal Management, Hardware Islands,
Debug, Safety, ARM Compliance, Exclusive Monitors and Far Atomics,
Coherency, Memory Ordering, Memory Management, Virtualization,
Control Processors, Signaling, Compression, Streaming, Always-On

or related field and 9+ years of Systems Engineering or related
work experience.
- OR PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related
field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work
experience.
- 2+ years of experience in one or more system architecture
technology areas and products (e.g., Power System, Shared Resource
Management, Limits/Thermal Management, Hardware Islands).Preferred
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, or related field.

with internal and external stakeholders to drive the definition of
requirements (e.g., performance, power, cost).
- Guides the identification of architecture enhancements.
- Acts as an expert resource across the department for
efficiently identifying and resolving the most complex issues;
oversees model/design reviews, ensures alignment with customer
needs, and influences overall product/technology roadmap and
Qualcomm strategy.
- Strategically adds value to platform, methodology, and tools
for modeling. Creates technical vision for modeling, simulations,
and analyses of power, performance, and other KPIs at the system
level; determines impact of results on current and future system or
customer requirements and oversees architectural decisions across
the organization.
- Sets the strategic direction for consulting with and
influencing external partners to develop long-term SoC
implementation strategies and plans that align technical and
business goals of all stakeholders.

process/product or time between decisions and results; Errors
typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and
funds to correct. Requires verbal and written communication skills
to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple
individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. Role may
require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large

determination with what needs to be done to drive implementation of
innovative ideas/processes etc. Works on abstract problems in
unique situations that require intricate analysis, and evaluation
of ambiguous factors. Directs the resolution of highly complex,
unusual, or abstract business problems across functional or
organization lines. Through assessment of intangible variables,
