OverviewKeenan has an exciting career opportunity for an Account
Executive in our Employee Benefits division. They will be
responsible for client retention, customer servicing, providing
support and assists with growing the book of business and managing
renewals in the territories of the Account Executives they
support.Keenan, an Accretive company, is an insurance brokerage and
consulting firm meeting the insurance needs of hospitals, public
entities and California school districts. Keenan specializes in
providing consulting services in the areas of: employee benefits,
workers' compensation, loss control, financial, and property &
liability.What You'll Do
- Responsible for retention of business in assigned
territory.
- Establishes and maintains client relationships by providing
regular visits and open communication.
- Uses consultative techniques to manage assigned accounts and
suggest new services and products and makes recommendations based
on analysis of customers' existing insurance packages,
circumstances and needs.
- Expands existing relationships by recommending additions or
changes to current insurance programs in anticipation of the
customers' needs.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of regulatory and legislative
changes that affects our customers.
- Gathers, evaluates and negotiates carrier renewals on assigned
accounts' insurance programs.
- Advises and makes product/program recommendations based on the
customers' needs.
- Manages marketing's for insurance programs of assigned accounts
which include collecting all appropriate data, and completing
marketing forms while ensuring that the BenefitPoint marketing
procedures are followed.
- Develops and delivers customer presentations.
- Provides day-to-day client consulting on a wide range of
benefit programs.
- Collaborates with the P&C counterpart in assigned territory
to maximize client retention.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of accounts within assigned
territory.
- Ensures timely, accurate and efficient service to
customers.
- Works with service team to prepare communication materials and
complete internal procedures for installation of new cases.
- Interfaces with client/carrier in resolution of billing,
premium and eligibility problems.
- Assists in the creation of medical Plan Documents, Summary Plan
Descriptions (SPDs) and amendments.
- Coordinates the proofing of master contracts and
amendments.
- Prepares and presents material as requested by client for
Insurance Committee Meetings, Wellness meetings and JPAs.
- Resolves routine and complex claim problems.
- Coordinates annual open enrollments/health fairs and conduct
employee orientation meetings as required.
- Communicates required legislative changes to clients as
needed.
- Processes renewals and premium invoices as required.
- Gathers data for employee benefit studies from assigned clients
that provide existing and potential clients with a comparison of
benefits within their county and industry, as well as determines
coverage information on potential clients.
- Prepares and produces scheduled reports in a timely
manner.
- Maintains SalesForce.com CRM system on assigned accounts.
- Attends required meetings. All other duties as assigned.What
You'll Need
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in employee benefits
required.
- Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and has excellent
verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Life and Disability license required.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and Senior
Management.
- Possess negotiating skills and mathematical ability.
- Basic underwriting skills and understanding of funding
methodologies.
- General knowledge of management and decision making of
California Public Agencies (i.e. insurance committees, bargaining
units, etc.).
- Software: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
and Word. Intermediate to advance knowledge of SalesForce and
BenefitBridge software is preferred. Adept at accessing business

position is $100,000.00 to $125,000.00 (US Dollar) annually. The
actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience,
skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment
with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on
applicant's geographic location. Remote work environment
