Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring a Warehouse Packaging Technician in San Marcos, Ca.

1st shift Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, $20.00-22.00/hr



As a Warehouse Packaging Technician you will:

Operate and maintain packaging lines, including starting and stopping equipment.


Work in all areas of the packaging line, performing relief duties as required to ensure continuous operation throughout shifts.


Follow directions and complete tasks to maintain workflow and efficiency.


Manually stack pallets of finished goods according to specifications.


Manually assemble finished goods, including taping/gluing boxes or trays, packing, and feeding products on and off the production line.


Perform basic troubleshooting on packaging equipment as necessary.


Adhere to escalation protocol, ensuring that proper channels are followed when issues arise.


Load materials (e.g., corrugate, glue pellets, ink, stretch wrap) into appropriate machines.


Monitor the flow of packaging materials and clear any jams that may occur.


Conduct pre-production checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly before starting a run.


Perform visual inspections of boxes/trays for quality assurance, ensuring proper packaging, acceptable graphics, and correct coding on bottles, cans, and boxes/trays.


Monitor machines during runs to ensure proper packing of bottles/cans into boxes and onto pallets.


Follow safety protocols, including safe lifting practices and machine operation; use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.


Safely operate forklifts to stage, move, load, and unload materials.


Handle chemicals following proper safety and handling procedures.


Perform additional duties as needed and directed, with flexibility to take on new responsibilities as required.





This is a full time opportunity



The ideal candidate will have:



Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.


Experience: Previous bottle or can filling experience is preferred.


Forklift Experience: Prior forklift experience is preferred.


Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Gmail/Outlook. Familiarity with Orchestra software is a plus.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift certification preferred but not required.


Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.





Pay range $20.00-22.00/hr
