Volt is immediately hiring a Material and Process Engineer in San
Diego, CA.
As a Material and Process Engineer you will:
Provide guidance on materials selection, specifications, testing,
processing, and quality assurance. Strong knowledge of polymer
science, process optimization, and manufacturing technologies is
essential for success in this role.
This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering,
Material Science, or related studies
*Must have a strong understanding of polymers, plastics, extrusion,
and injection molding techniques
*Must have experience with material selection
*Must have experience performance testing
Bachelor's degree in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or
related field from an accredited university.
Must have engineering and project experience in a manufacturing
environment.
Must have experience in plastic materials development and
processing (e.g., extrusion, injection molding).
Strong knowledge of plastic materials, polymer science, and
chemical engineering principles.
Experience with material testing techniques (destructive and
non-destructive).
Ability to analyze data, develop trends, and drive actionable
improvements.
Salary: $85K-$95K per year
*Salary range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.

Education/Experience: --- Bachelor's Degree in Polymer Chemistry or
Chemical Engineering, from an accredited university --- Minimum of
4 to 7 years of engineering and project experience in a
manufacturing environment --- Minimum of three years of experience
in the development of plastic materials and products and their
associated processing technologies, e.g., extrusion and injection
molding --- Experience in planning, organizing and implementing
engineering projects --- One to three years of project management
experience in a cross functional environment
