Job Description:
Sigma Defense is seeking a self-directed and highly motivated
Senior Network Engineer (SOVT) to join our team developing
installation documents (SWD, EC, SOVT, Baseline Documents),
supporting PMO-level meetings and planning for installation, site
surveys, developing Workscope packages for installation, and
occasionally traveling to do actual installations.Equal Opportunity

- 10+ years of experience managing DoD or other Government
Unclassified and Classified Systems/Networks.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure optimum
productivity.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and
provide solutions.
- Ability to conduct testing and regression testing on Government
facilities.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making
skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing,
with managers, peers, and customers.
- Routing and Switching knowledge.
- Basic Linux knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of Shipboard and Shore Installation
processes.
- Basic knowledge of the SPEG Process (SOVT Preparation and
Execution Guide).
- Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and take
initiative.
- Ability to quickly grasp and implement technical concepts.
- Network Engineering experience with ADNS, CANES, or CaaS is
preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft
Office Suite, and VISIO.Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active
TS/SCI security clearance.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.Education
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in
Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems,
Engineering, or a related field of study.Mandatory Certifications:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II - Security+ (or equivalent) and CCNA;
CCNP preferred.Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Assist with development and modernization of Government
systems, sub-systems, and components through engineering
integrations.
- Assist with development and modernization of Government
Networks via Software defined capability or similar engineering
integrations.
- Support the improvement of WAN/LAN posture by leading
Architecture research and design in support of current and future
Naval requirements.
- Provide engineering change support to the In-Service
Engineering Activity team via on-site services on equipment/systems
to perform Cisco-based troubleshooting, identification of root
cause, and correction of other system-specific faults and
failures.
- Participate in numerous Network integration and testing support
events within Government test facilities in support of system
interoperability.
- Perform technical document reviews and participate in technical
working groups.
- Configure Cisco C3850 and C9300 series switches. Configurations
include Layer-2 and Layer-3 switch configurations.
- Maintain port security on all network devices and coordinate
with local lab system administrators with the deployment of new
computers, VoIP, dVTC, and sVTC devices.
- Configure and maintain TACLANE (KG175 series) devices.
Configurations include network configuration, peer routes, and
keying devices.
- Liaison with local lab managers and system administrators on
the installation of the RDT&E network to include hardware
purchase, baseline configuration, local system administration
responsibilities, and duties to maintain system compliance.Salary
Range:$120,000 - $140,000 annually.Benefits:
