POSITION PROFILE: Do you have a passion for access to mental health services for all youth? The Senior Program Director both leads a dynamic team of clinicians as well as provides direct mental health services to keep your skills sharp. The Senior Program Director provides overall administrative management of the school based mental health services at selected elementary, middle and high schools in the San Diego Unified School District. The position is eligible for hybrid work schedule. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervise clinical staff for administrative as well as clinical supervision for licensed eligible staff. Conducts performance management to include ongoing supervision and performance evaluations. Conduct regular and ongoing chart reviews to ensure accurate and timely completion of client documentation and data for outcome reports and other relevant purposes. Maintain budget and other fiscal reports required by funding sources. Manage and maintain staffing for the program, including hiring, onboarding and ensures all staff receive the training required to fulfill their role. Facilitate crisis intervention and management. Manage a caseload. Oversee contracting and management of consulting group supervisor. Oversees intakes, allocates case referrals and monitors caseload maintenance for clinical staff. Successfully manage contracts, including preparation of monthly reports, statistical compilation, billing, liaison with contract monitors, prepare for service audits, and contract negotiations. Work to aggregate statistical data and prepare reports for SAY and funding partners. Develop, maintain, and coordinate ongoing outreach and linkage activities between referring partners. Develop and maintain positive relationships and serve as a liaison with funding partners, school staff and the community. Promote program's services, increase/expand client population, establish relationships, and educate potential referrals sources. Other tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Youth, Adult and Family Wellness. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications): LCSW, MFT in the State of California. Licensed 2+ years. License in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Completed or will complete upon hire supervision courses for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Contract and program management experience to include managing full funding cycles intended to serve diverse backgrounds, multi-cultural, and vulnerable populations is required. Demonstrated experience working with a broad range of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic populations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Management of multiple contracts and or a large program of high complexity, risk and visibility. Possess excellent supervisory skills, experienced in staff development. Strong organizational, administrative, and critical thinking skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with outside partners. Experience working with child welfare, probation and behavioral health services and local resources and services. Communication skills: ability to prepare written and oral reports and communicate in a wide variety of public forums. Solid proficiency of Microsoft Office - Microsoft 365.
