Company:Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.Job Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Systems Test EngineeringGeneral Summary:Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.

  • Work as part of a large test and engineering systems organization which handles test automation infrastructure, test strategy, test plan development and execution & report management in Power and thermal test areas of Modem, Multimedia, AI and other technologies.
  • Role will include daily collaboration with other test engineers and power ecosystem as well as product engineers.
  • Use power measurement equipment to collect measurements for system use cases on test platform.
  • Test planning and execution of test cases for Power/Thermal SW and debugging of SW related issues/problems on all Qualcomm chipset for various HLOS and non-HLOS Subsystems (Android, Windows etc.).
  • Execution of functional/features tests for power/thermal SW and power/thermal characterization/optimization.
  • Provide test results and characterization/optimization data to cross functional teams.
  • Thermal and Power Testing of 4G/5G modem use cases using call box.
  • Thermal mitigation algorithm validation and junction/skin temperature profiling.Minimum Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.ORMaster's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.ORPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3+ years Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
    • Experience in any operating systems platform testing (Google Android, Windows phone etc).
    • Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • High level organization and results documentation.
    • Passion for learning and intellectual curiosity.
    • Communication and ability to partner with others.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
    • Thermal/Power test experience on any platform is a plus.
    • Knowledge of Power and Thermal features is a plus.
    • Experience in multi-media technologies (Audio, Video, Camera & etc.) is a plus.
    • Knowledge/experience of embedded systems is a plus.
    • Knowledge of SW product cycle is a plus.
    • Development skills in Python, C/C++ is a plus.Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:$107,000.00 - $160,600.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
