Company:Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.Job Area:Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software EngineeringGeneral Summary:Pay Range: $110,008.00 - $141,200.00/yearThis individual possesses the solid engineering fundamentals and understanding with some supervision in the application of Software knowledge to assist and support the design, development, creation, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs. Analyzes user needs and software requirements. Designs and implements small software features for products and systems. Participates in the design, coding for small features, unit testing, minor debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Assists in performing code reviews and regression tests as well as the triaging of issues to ensure the quality of code. Collaborates with others inside project team to accomplish project objectives. Writes technical documentation for Software projects. Develops windows kernel mode device drivers using WDF/WDM framework and unit tests them. Develops logging and diagnostic frameworks so that telemetry can be collected from retail in-market devices. Performs System level tuning related to Processor power management and memory bandwidth for better power/perf tradeoff. Develops ACPI ASL code to carry out various power management aspects in boot firmware. Performs competitive analysis on the scheduling aspects of the operating systems used on the application processors in the PC industry and produces suggestions to Windows OS team. Participates at design reviews and project meetings.Will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.Telecommuting: May be permitted.
