Job Description:
What this job involves: We are seeking an experienced
Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have
comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and be able to work
independently or as part of a team to install, maintain, and repair
electrical systems in commercial and laboratory settings. The
Electrician will be responsible for interpreting blueprints,
troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and ensuring all work is
performed in compliance with national and local electrical
codes.What your day-to-day will look like:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems-including
wiring, circuits, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures-ensuring
compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Install and troubleshoot VFDs as part of advanced electrical
system upgrades and retrofits.
- Assist in the installation and repair of building automation
system (BAS) equipment such as sensors, actuators, and panel
components; install/repair mechanical equipment including air
handlers, chillers, ducting, and dampers.
- Install electrical materials (wire, conduit, etc.).
- Analyze, report, and resolve field technical issues.
- Identify and resolve issues like malfunctioning equipment,
circuit overloads, and wiring problems while maintaining accurate
logs of service.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors,
adapting to additional duties as business needs evolve.
- Adhere to company policies and the highest ethical standards to
ensure world-class experience for internal customers, clients, and
business partners.Work Schedule: This position primarily follows a
6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift. However, the schedule is flexible to
accommodate business requirements, which may include:
- Occasional early starts
- Periodic weekend work Physical Requirements:
- Work from heights
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
- Climb ladders while carrying a tool bag (approximately 20
lbs.)
- Frequently perform activities such as climbing, bending,
lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending
overheadEnvironmental Conditions:
- Potential exposure to chemical, radiological, or biological
agents that may be hazardous to health if mishandled (including
agents which may potentially affect reproduction or the
fetus)Safety Compliance:
- Must strictly adhere to all safety procedures
- Required to use appropriate personal protective
clothing/equipment as specified
- Responsible for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous
materials
- Note: This position requires physical stamina and strict
adherence to safety protocols. All necessary training and
protective equipment will be providedDesired or Preferred
Experience and Technical Skills:
- Prior experience in a regulated environment such as the
pharmaceutical, medical device, or other Life Science industry
preferred.
- (3) years actual, practical working experience as an
electrician in the industrial/commercial electrical equipment
service industry.
- Blueprint reading a plus.
- Electrical diagram reading a plus.
- Medium voltage experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Power Logic systems a plus.
- CMMS (Computerized Management Maintenance System) a
plus.Required Skills and Experience:
- Must hold a current Electrical Certification or C10
license.
- Knowledge of 24 Volt, 48 Volt, 120 Volt, and 480 Volt
Electrical Systems
- Knowledge of VFD's, UPS's, Generators, BAS's, & Lighting
Systems.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license to drive JLL
vehicles.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently.
- Excellent computer user skills are required (Microsoft
systems).
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong work ethic and the ambition to be the best.
