implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU
cores. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams
to meet and exceed customer needs.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Software
Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related
work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Software
Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related
work experience.
- OR PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering,
Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work
experience.Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports
(only applies to positions with direct reports).
- 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction
with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Director and above).
- 2+ years of relevant GPU experience.Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Leverages expert GPU knowledge and experience to architect,
design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and
power of GPU cores.
- Builds functional model simulations, develops software, and
tests for various graphics to verify correctness and ensures highly
advanced performance and power goals are met.
- Guides team to design, program, and run highly complex,
comprehensive graphics tests across the system to verify
functionality, performance, power, and identify areas for
improvement.
- Facilitates collaboration with third-party vendors, external
users, and high-level representatives from other functions to drive
implementation and ensure alignment with needs and goals.
- Develops highly critical driver and compiler software to
support the GPU products.
- Writes detailed technical documentation and feature
descriptions for highly complex GPU projects to guide users and/or
customers to implement output; reviews technical documentation for
experienced engineers.Level of Responsibility:
- Provides supervision to direct reports.
- Decision-making is critical in nature and highly impacts
program, product, or project success.
- Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey
highly complex and/or detailed information. May require strong
negotiation and influence with large groups or high-level
constituents.
- Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the
department.
- Has a great degree of influence over key organizational
decisions.
- Tasks often require multiple steps which can be performed in
various orders; extensive planning, problem-solving, and
prioritization must occur to complete the tasks

Benefits:$264,300.00 - $396,500.00The above pay scale reflects the
broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the
location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly,
please note that salary is only one component of total compensation
