• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
• 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Director and above).
• 2+ years of relevant GPU experience.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leverages expert GPU knowledge and experience to architect, design, implement, verify, and/or optimize the performance and power of GPU cores.
• Builds functional model simulations, develops software, and tests for various graphics to verify correctness and ensures highly advanced performance and power goals are met.
• Guides team to design, program, and run highly complex, comprehensive graphics tests across the system to verify functionality, performance, power, and identify areas for improvement.
• Facilitates collaboration with third-party vendors, external users, and high-level representatives from other functions to drive implementation and ensure alignment with needs and goals.
• Develops highly critical driver and compiler software to support the GPU products.
• Writes detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for highly complex GPU projects to guide users and/or customers to implement output; reviews technical documentation for experienced engineers.Level of Responsibility:
• Provides supervision to direct reports.
• Decision-making is critical in nature and highly impacts program, product, or project success.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey highly complex and/or detailed information. May require strong negotiation and influence with large groups or high-level constituents.
• Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
• Has a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions.
